Rival Branding cuts time with new GM DC330NANO
30 October 2020
US label manufacturer Rival Branding has invested in a GM DC330NANO converting unit as an all-in-one finishing solution for its Epson SurePress L-4533 digital inkjet label press. The new GM semi-rotary die-cutting converter has replaced a web-fed plotter die cutter and significantly improved efficiency and quality.
Based in Lenexa, Kansas, Rival Branding is a digital-only printing company, which produces custom labels and other printed products for many different clients, including craft breweries, CBD and cannabis companies, candle manufacturers, bath and body product manufacturers and many more. It was established in 2016 and specializes in supporting startup brands with high-quality labels at low cost and low minimum orders.
The ultra-compact DC330NANO is a cost-effective solution for lamination, die-cutting and slitting. The machine is ideal for converting labels printed on lower volume digital presses or as a backup to an existing finishing line and can be configured to run either inline or offline.
Rival Branding made the decision to buy the DC330NANO after an online demonstration. Qualities such as ease of use and versatility were important factors when choosing the machine. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has been producing clean seal stickers for use in hotels, properties and resorts, so faster time to market has been of the essence.
Owner Trent Marquardt said: “The DC330NANO is just awesome and it is such an easy machine to use. Jobs that previously took us two days to convert on our old plotter die cutter can now be finished in just 20 minutes or less.”
“We are very happy to be partnering with Rival Branding as they strive to serve their customers with faster delivery and higher quality labels,” commented GM CEO Uffe Nielsen. “The Nano is a popular ultra-compact unit and it is the perfect machine for them. In these challenging times, having equipment that you can rely on is absolutely vital.”
