Doga Etiket puts its trust in GM during pandemic

Despite the turbulent times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, GM has successfully delivered and installed a DCFlex Compact Integrated Converting Line for Labels at Doga Etiket in Turkey. The bespoke configuration will enable Doga Etiket to add spot varnish and foiling, die-cut and rewind in-line at high speed for volume production of digital labels.
The DCFlex is the first GM finishing line for the Istanbul-based label printing company and it comes with full online support. It was also a first for the local technicians, who had never worked on a GM installation before, but with the guidance of GM’s own engineers connecting via Microsoft Teams and supervised on site by local agent ELFI, the machine was soon up and running.
The new GM DCFlex has been configured with GM SmartFlexo UV varnish station with spot varnish, cold foil, semi-rotary die-cutting with Gap Master, back scoring, slitting and dual rewind, giving Doga Etiket a very powerful compact system for digital label converting.
Bora Inan, owner of Doga Etiket, said: “We chose the DCFlex because we knew that GM could offer us a customized solution that would meet our specific needs. We were impressed by the feedback we received from users in the industry about the quality and technology of GM’s products. The components of machine both mechanical and electronic are widely available in Turkey, which is very important for a machine serving the digital label market.”
“Even though the installation and training took part during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, GM provided excellent online support, with the help of their agent ELFI. ELFI has been a good partner for us for consumables like foils, dies and lamination films for many years, and their professionalism gave us the courage to cooperate with them for hardware equipment. We are very happy with the decision we made about GM equipment and support from ELFI.”
