GM is set to make a big impact at Labelexpo Europe, held 16–19 September 2025 in Barcelona, with its extended range of finishing lines and expertise in creating intelligent label solutions. Under the banner: “From Finishing to Functionality”, the Danish technology manufacturer will showcase its latest innovations, designed to bring label printing companies more profitable business opportunities. These include intelligent features that elevate labels from conveyors of information to interactive touchpoints that connect with the supply chain and engage with end consumers.
“At Labelexpo, our goal is to spark inspiration by showcasing how GM’s label tech drives growth – delivering premium value, faster finishing, and unlocking powerful new functionalities that anticipate tomorrow’s label trends,” says CEO Uffe Nielsen. “Our solutions are built to be highly versatile, scalable, and modular; ready to grow with any business, no matter where the journey starts and where your dreams make take you.”
Covering 400 sqm, GM’s largest-ever stand will display the whole portfolio of finishing solutions: from premium labels with high-end embellishments for luxury segments, to faster speeds and advanced automation levels that allow converters to finish longer jobs in less time. GM’s laser cutting technology will prove its high flexibility with quick and easy job changes without the need for dies, while its compact finishers will demonstrate powerful converting on a small footprint. In addition, the auxiliaries area will confirm GM as a true one-stop shop, presenting its range of core cutters, waste removal, unwinders and rewinders, sheeters, and roll handlers.
Staying ahead with intelligent labels
A dedicated feature area will focus on the capabilities of GM’s Functionals division, showcasing new opportunities in label technology. This will explain how customers can integrate in-house developed modules that add intelligent functionalities, such as RFID tags and other features, to extend the power of their GM converting lines.
Uffe Nielsen explains: “Intelligent labels are the future; they can help converters to stay ahead in so many ways. At the show, our experts will be ready to discuss how smart labels can attract consumers attention in the shop; remind patients to take their medication; detect when food goes off; record if goods are dropped; and update inventories automatically. The possibilities are limitless and we’re ready to support our customers in deploying these exciting technologies.”
Pushing the boundaries of label finishing
GM has also invited partner and gold award winner at the FSEA, Dreyer Kliché, to join the showcase. An installation will exhibit the art of converting with a range of cutting-edge labels designed specifically for the luxury wine and spirits market. Six unique designs will demonstrate how GM’s hot stamping and embossing technology, combined with specialist dies from Dreyer Kliché, can created remarkable shelf standout with various tactile and metallic effects.
